Installation Method Of Electromagnetic Clutch

2023-09-27

The function of the electromagnetic clutch is to transmit the torque (or power) of the actuator from the driving shaft side to the driven shaft side. It is widely used in various mechanisms (such as transmission mechanisms in machine tools and various electric mechanisms, etc.) to achieve functions such as quick start, braking, forward and reverse rotation, or speed regulation. Because the electromagnetic clutch is easy to control over a distance and is much simpler to operate than other mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic clutches, it is an important component in the automatic control system.

Installation method of electromagnetic clutch:

1. There are several styles of electromagnetic clutches, including flange installation and bearing hook installation. It depends on which model you choose, whether it is coaxial (one shaft) installation or broken shaft (two shafts) installation.

2. There is a bearing hook style installation. This kind of installation is not so troublesome. You can directly put it through the shaft and make a fixed nail in any direction to hang the hook to prevent the line from rotating. Pay attention to the gap between the clutch plate and the friction surface. It needs to be adjusted according to the size and model, generally 20 wires for under 5KG, and 30 wires for above 5KG.

3. Choosing the four-hole installation method is slightly more complicated than the bearing type. You need to pay attention to the center position, verticality, and concentricity. There are more requirements during installation. The clearance is the same as the bearing type.

4. The electromagnetic clutch can be installed upwards and downwards, on the left and right sides, and it can be installed flat.
