Shipping Costs:
Depending on the logistics company chosen by the customer, please calculate the shipping cost yourself based on your location and the size of your order. Due to daily fluctuations in exchange rates, all price quotes will be provided in U.S. dollars only. Shipping costs do not include duties, taxes, or brokerage fees.
International orders are shipped only when all ordered items are in stock to avoid a second shipping charge.
All goods are shipped with duties and taxes collect, and Melink Automation is not responsible for customs, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or any return shipping costs. All such charges are the responsibility of the receiver.
Shipping Terms:
All international shipments are shipped under the Incoterms ExWorks (EXW), and the customer must pay import duties and taxes. Below is an explanation of EXW.
The seller makes the goods available at their premises or another named place. This term places maximum obligation on the buyer and minimum obligations on the seller. The Ex Works term is often used in the initial quotation for the sale of goods without any costs included.
EXW means that the buyer incurs the risks of bringing the goods to their final destination. The seller is not obligated to load the goods onto collecting vehicles or clear them for export, but if the seller does load the goods, they do so at the buyer's risk and cost. If both parties agree that the seller should be responsible for loading the goods upon departure and bearing the risks and costs, this must be explicitly stated in the sales contract.
There is no obligation for the seller to arrange transportation, nor is there an obligation for the buyer to do so either—the buyer may sell the goods to their own customer for collection from the original seller’s warehouse. However, in practice, the buyer typically arranges the collection of the freight from the designated location and is responsible for clearing the goods through customs. The buyer is also responsible for completing all export documentation, although the seller is obliged to obtain information and documents at the buyer’s request and expense.
