Tokyo Keiki Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge UTM-110 / UTM-210 - Product Introduction

2025-09-08

Overview

The Tokyo Keiki UTM-110 and UTM-210 are pocketable, rugged ultrasonic thickness gauges designed for field inspection, maintenance and quality-control work. Both models use a pulse-echo (R-B1) system with a dual-element probe (~5 MHz), offer long battery life on a single AA cell, and include a 1,000-entry time-stamped data logger with USB export. The UTM-110 is optimized for fast, reliable everyday inspection; the UTM-210 adds ultra-fine resolution for precision tasks.

Key features (both models)

  • Ergonomic, grip-focused housing and large keypad/display for easy one-hand operation.

  • Hold function — reading remains on screen when the probe is lifted.

  • Automatic sensitivity adjustment for clean echoes with minimal setup.

  • Built-in data logger: up to 1,000 timestamped measurements; export via USB to a PC.

  • Wide sound-velocity setting range: 1000–19,999 m/s with direct-recall presets.

  • Powered by 1 × AA alkaline battery (simple battery swap in the field).

  • Optional probes available (special probes for small pipes / high-temp surfaces); per-probe measurement modes supported on UTM-110.

*Minimum measurable thickness varies with probe type and material — check optional probe specs for thin-wall or small-diameter pipe applications.

Typical applications

  • Corrosion monitoring and remaining-wall measurement

  • Routine maintenance inspections (plant, ship, pipeline)

  • Quality control and acceptance testing

  • Thin-material inspection, R&D and precision inspections (UTM-210 recommended)

Why choose these models?

  • UTM-110 — fast, dependable, simple: ideal for routine inspection work where robust operation, speed and long battery life matter.

  • UTM-210 — precision in a pocketable gauge: choose this when you need sub-0.1 mm resolution and tighter repeatability for thin-wall or high-accuracy tasks.
Both models combine ergonomic handling, easy data capture (1000 records + USB export) and a broad probe ecosystem to cover most field inspection needs.
